Okay I know this is very dependent upon your scheme. But all that aside what does everyone think? Personally I think no matter the scheme it is the Center. You dont have a guy who can consistently and efficiently get the ball to the QB, you are screwed. Not to mention I think he is the brains behind the operation of front. OR at least he should be.

I always felt that the Center position was the most important but have now switched to the OT position. Primarily because we need this position to pull for us and block one on one. Also he has to be a dominate pass blocker as he is often blocking the the best defensive rusher. Olinebest

It seems like you could teach someone to snap, and as long as they have the head to stay in there and not freak out, they can get the snap back there. In most schemes the center can do a lot of cutting or is in on double teams, right? I'm not an OL guy, but from a defensive standpoint the most important guy depends a lot on who the weakest guy is. He's the one the defense is going after

For right handed Qb's the most imporant spot is the Lt Tackle, In most pass pro set ups, he is protecting the life of your qb.
