Coaches...I´ll start to be the "alien" around here :-)
My name is Marcel and I´m in my 15th season as a Coach. "Alien" because I´m German and because I coach in Germany. I started coaching with age 16, because of some sort of a deformation in my hippointer. Couldn´t do sports, but loved football, so I started coaching (they called it coaching back then) a 10-14yr flagfootball-team. Since 2001 I´m coaching 15-19yr youth teams.
The athletic and speed level here must be disturbing for Americans. But the dedication level and in some point the knowledge of the game is what it´s worth here.
Since we only have 45-90 minutes per week of physical education in Germany´s school system, and because every sport in Germany is club-based, it´s hard to get a high attendance rate. But I think we did a great job this season in team-building. Attendance is averaging 26 of 29 players.
On Offense we play some sort of a parasite system. Playcalling is based on the Run and Shoot System, we use some fly-sweep stuff, some option, some RnS passing concepts... a mixture of everything. On Defense we are a 3-5/3-4 Team.
Actually I am the HC/OC and Asst DC in my team...
Looking forward to find a lot of answers to all my questions on this forum! Feel free to ask, too :-)

Hello coaches. I'm in my 10th year coaching high school football, and I have just taken over a small-school program in southern Minnesota. Thanks for the forum, and I'll have to check things out over the next few weeks!

Just finished up my 2nd season of coaching youth football (5-7 year olds). I am the HC/OC. My 2 years ran pretty smooth but am looking for anything that will help me be a better coach for these future athletes. I am looking for any recommendations on clinics or information that is out there especially in regards to practice organization and motivating kids. This will be my first off season attending live clinics.

Hello all,
I'm Sal and I'm from Tijuana Mexico across the border from San Diego, CA. I absolutely love football. I'm not a coach but I joined the forum because I want to know as much about football as I can. I love the strategy, intensity, energy, power and the team work that has to be realized to win the game.
Thank you coaches and have a great season!!!
Sal.
