If there are any particular topics that you are interested in seeing, let us know. We have tons of notes, old and new, but they take time to get typed up. If there's a specific topic you want to see, and we have it, we'll get it up quicker.

That would be great! I do think I have some defending the Wing-T stuff around here somewhere too.

Not too many people get excited about Wing-T related stuff coach. You might want to keep that a secret, like I do. (j/k) We're a spread team and most of our coaches on Sunday's are like, "Great, another Wing-T team this week."

I love the Wing-T, its like an illness. I've never run it, only see it once a season (and this season they shifted to a Spread out of it), but I own about 6 books on the Wing-T. Makes me want to move to Michigan, where its still acceptable.

It's still accepted in Western Maryland, too, particularly in a football-crazy town called Cumberland. Two exceptional Wing-T teams there, one of which we played this year. They've run it for 30 years under three different coaching staffs, and let me tell you no matter what you do against them, they have seen it before. They have an adjustment for EVERYTHING! Fun and frustrating coaching against them. They beat us in a close one this year, can't wait until our next opportunity to take them on.

Thats what was amazing about Chuck Apap when I was in Cleveland. He claims they've seen 86 different defenses. I'm sure he just made up a number... but he had an answer for all of them.
Wing-T has a special place in my heart for another reason. Much like defensive coaches draw everything up against the I, they draw everything up against the 5-2 first. Somewhere out there is a team that runs a 5-2 defense and the I on offense, and they're getting demolished.

Wing T still used in NC also. In fact we run the single wing...yeah I know I know what you guys are thinking but we had 2 backs and a qb all rush for over 1000 last year.

I don't think I've ever seen anything on Rugby punting, that would be real interesting if someone could give an explanation of it. Would love to put that up on the site
