Announced on Saturday were the class of 2009 Hall of Fame. The list included Bruce Smith, Bob Hayes, Rod Woodson, Derrick Thomas, Randall Mcdaniel, and Ralph Wilson. I cant argue against any of these guys what so ever. But I do feel that one individual got snubber this year. Dirmonti Dawson has to be considered one of the best at his position during his time. 6 straight All-pro selections, 7 straight Pro Bowls, played in 170 consecutive games. He was the cog the made the OL of the Steelers be successful. He was also named to the All-90's team...maybe I am a little biased as an OLman just think he deserved...

Ray Guy got snubbed, I agree with Mel Kiper on that one. If you're the best punter in history, and thats one of the positions in football, how can you not be in the hall of fame? He did all he could do at his position. Even if it was at punter.

I'm not a big Cris Carter fan but I thought he was a first ballot hall of famer with his numbers and how long he did it. I actually thought he would get in before Woodson, because Woodson was never the same player after his bad leg injury during the 95 season. I thought Dawson should get in before Mcdaniel because Dawson was one of the 3 best ever at his position and I don't think you can say that about Mcdaniel.

Cris Carter never struck me as great, just real good for a long time. And I'll agree to Dermonti Dawson if someone will step up and agree on the Ray Guy thing.

I'll agree with Ray Guy but punters are like assistant coaches, and special teams players, the voters don't seem to want them in.

If you are going to bring up Asst. Coaches, thingy Lebeau is the biggest snub so far....by far he deserves to be in the hall of fame, if not for his coaching contributions, but i believe he is in the top 10 interceptions all time....the man has been apart of the game for50 years

Don't you have to retire? I mean I guess he could pull the "Joe Gibbs" scam where he leaves then comes back... but I think he's still coaching.

I actually think with Lebeau winning two Super Bowls, being a part of five ( he was the dc for the bengals in the 80's), father of the zone blitz, and the fact that he was a really good player will get him in soon. You saw a lot of articles about him during Super Bowl Week. Plus the guy can get in a contest with Jim Mora on who looks in his 50's but is actually 70. I hope I look like him when I'm 40.

Who are some other coordinators or asst. coaches you think fall in the Lebeau category for Canton? Monte Kiffin? Joe Bugel?

Wasn't Bugel a monumental failure as a header though? That has to count against you.
