It's very effective but I don't see it as a base defense in the NFL. I've seen the Cardinals and Dolphins sprinkle it into their defensive gameplan but I haven't seen it as a base defense. Why is that?

The NFL is broken down into the most basic level of defense - Even or Odd front. Teams that call themselves a 3-4 have a Nose Guard, teams that call themselves a 4-3 have two Tackles. Otherwise, they run it all. You'll see one or two backers in the box, you'll see 3 backers and a safety, whatever. They're so incredibly talented, and their whole world is football, they can run it all. 4-2-5 doesn't translate. They're EVEN or ODD defense, thats all that matters! Just my opinion on NFL defenses, it may be wrong!
